Role Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during overnight hours, ensuring that all hotel financial transactions are accurately recorded and providing support to guests. This role combines front office duties with accounting functions and is critical to the smooth operation of the hotel overnight.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Supervising front office operations during the overnight shift
  • Performing end-of-day closing procedures and prepare financial reports
  • Providing excellent customer service to guests checking in or out during overnight hours, answering questions, and addressing any concerns
  • Handling guest requests promptly and professionally, including providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions
  • Processing check-ins and check-outs for late arrivals and early departures, ensuring all guest requests and issues are resolved promptly
  • Managing the front desk operations during the night shift, handling guest inquiries, and addressing any concerns or complaints with professionalism and efficiency
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and handling phone calls or emails as needed
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and to assist guests with their needs
  • Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure the hotel remains clean, safe, and operational throughout the night
  • Ensuring all night shift duties are completed in accordance with hotel standards before the end of the shift

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar role in the 5-star hotels or high-volume venues
  • Degree in Hospitality / Tourism
  • Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of PMS (preferably Fidelio or Opera) and the Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
