Role Overview

The Barista/Bartender will be responsible for engaging with guests, taking and serving orders, and ensuring all drinks meet high standards of quality and presentation.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Preparing and serving a variety of high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and alcoholic beverages for hotel guests, ensuring consistency and quality in every order
• Greeting guests with a genuine smile and a willingness to assist, engaging with them to understand their preferences and offer personalized recommendations, ensuring excellent service at the bar or café
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the coffee and bar areas, including equipment, glassware, and supplies
  Handling cash transactions and processing payments using the hotel’s point-of-sale system
• Restocking and replenishing of bar inventory and supplies
• Collaborating with hotel staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of beverages during busy periods
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff
• Assisting in the setup and breakdown of the bar and café areas before and after shifts
• Promoting the hotel’s beverage offerings, including seasonal specials or new products, to enhance the guest experience
• Responding promptly to guest requests and handling special orders or customized drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista or Bartender in a 5-star Hotel
• Drinks and/or coffee knowledge and relevant certifications needed
• Degree in Hospitality / Tourism will be considered as an asset
• Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
• Experienced in MICROS and POS handling will be considered an asset
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
• Pleasant personality, customer oriented
