Role Overview

The Assistant Waiter/tress will be responsible for supporting the Head Waiter with the Food and Beverage service of our guests.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Assisting wait staff in providing exceptional service to guests in dining areas
• Taking and serving food and beverage orders promptly and accurately
• Ensuring guests’ needs are met by providing attentive and courteous service throughout their dining experience
• Setting and cleaning tables, including ensuring they are prepared according to restaurant standards
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and responding to requests or concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations
• Assisting in restocking supplies, including napkins, utensils, and condiments
• Supporting the front-of-house team in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Adhering to safety and hygiene standards, ensuring food and beverage safety for guests

Requirements

• 1 year experience in a similar position in a 5-star Hotel or a high-end service restaurant
• Degree in Hospitality / Tourism will be considered as an asset
• Knowledge of Wines and experience in Wine Tasting will be a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English language. Any additional language will be considered an asset
• Experience in MICROS and POS handling will be considered an asset
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of services
